The Nintendo 64 Expansion Pak is a memory expansion that adds an additional 4 megabytes of RAM to the N64 - giving the console a total of 8 MB of RAM. This may not sound like much today, but back then it was a real boost that enabled some games to have better graphics, smoother gameplay or even new content.

The Nintendo 64 Expansion Pak is simply inserted into the memory slot under the flap on the front of the console. This is where the so-called Jumper Pak is normally located, which is removed before inserting the Expansion Pak.
