NBA Live 97 is a realistic basketball game from the well-known NBA Live series by EA Sports and was released in 1996 for the SNES. As one of the last basketball games for the Super Nintendo, it once again brings the full NBA atmosphere of the 90s to the 16-bit system - with official teams, players and statistics from the 1996/97 season.

Like its predecessors, NBA Live 97 also relies on the tried-and-tested isometric perspective, which provides an overview and an authentic gaming experience. The gameplay of NBA Live 97 is balanced: it offers enough depth for tactics fans, but remains accessible for beginners. Graphically, NBA Live 97 is one of the most mature SNES sports games: The animations are fluid, the players are easily recognizable and the menus have been improved once again. The sound also provides an authentic sports game atmosphere with cheering fans, commentary and exciting background music.
