Mario Party 3 / JAP

Mario Party 3 is a party game released in 2001 by Hudson Soft and Nintendo for the Nintendo 64. Mario Party 3 is the third installment in the popular Mario Party series and continues the successful mechanics of the previous titles while adding new features and improvements. Mario Party 3 has been particularly acclaimed for its fun mini-games, variety of game modes and the ability to play with up to four players simultaneously. Mario Party 3 is an ideal game for friends and family and remains a classic of the Nintendo 64 era to this day.

The plot of Mario Party 3 is fairly simple and follows the classic Mario universe: Mario and his friends (and rivals) are invited on an adventure where they roll the dice on a game board to collect stars and overcome various challenges. In this installment of the series, there is an additional story surrounding the mysterious Millennium Star, a magical artifact that is awarded at the end of the game as a reward to the player who has collected the most stars.

In the single-player campaign of Mario Party 3, the player fights against AI-controlled opponents who also have to collect stars. The story of Mario Party 3 itself is intended more as a context for the gameplay and is mainly driven by the various game boards and challenges.
