Luigi's Mansion

Luigi's Mansion was released exclusively for the Nintendo GameCube in 2001 and was one of the first games for the console. In Luigi's Mansion, the player takes on the role of Luigi, Mario's younger brother, who finds himself in a mysterious mansion full of ghosts. His goal is to rescue Mario, who is being held captive by the ghosts.Luigi's Mansion combines classic adventure elements with innovative gameplay mechanics.

Luigi uses a special vacuum cleaner, the so-called Poltergust 3000, to capture ghosts. The player must first weaken the ghosts by dodging their attacks and then capture them with the vacuum cleaner. There are also puzzles to solve and hidden areas to discover in Luigi's Mansion, which add variety to the game.​

Luigi's Mansion was praised for its innovative game mechanics, appealing graphics and humorous tone. However, some critics felt that the playing time of Luigi's Mansion was too short. Nevertheless, Luigi's Mansion is considered one of the best games for the GameCube and laid the foundation for the successful Luigi's Mansion series. Luigi's Mansion received the BAFTA Interactive Entertainment Award in 2002 for its outstanding audio.
