Donkey Konga

Donkey Konga is a music game for the Nintendo GameCube that was first released in Europe in October 2004. It was developed by Namco, while Nintendo acted as publisher. Donkey Konga is characterized by the use of a special controller called DK Bongos - two electronic drums that are beaten to the beat or activated by clapping. This innovative control system sets Donkey Konga apart from other music games and offers a unique gaming experience.In Donkey Konga the player selects one of around 30 pieces of music, including well-known songs such as "We Will Rock You" by Queen, "Shining Star" by Earth, Wind & Fire and "Rock Lobster" by The B-52s. While the song is playing, symbols appear on the screen instructing the player which action to perform. 

Donkey Konga supports multiplayer modes for up to four players. Players can play together in cooperative mode or compete in competitive mode. Donkey Konga also features mini-games that are reminiscent of party games and provide additional fun. Using the bongos as controllers encourages interactivity and makes the game particularly entertaining for groups.

Donkey Konga has won several awards for its innovative controls and entertaining gameplay. Donkey Konga received the prize for "Innovation" at the Game Developers Choice Awards 2005 and was named "Console Family Game of the Year" at the 8th Annual Interactive Achievement Awards of the Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences.
