The touch screen not only provides a practical map and additional functions, but is also used in numerous mini-games. Super Mario 64 DS has a total of over 30 fun mini-games that you can gradually unlock by catching little rabbits in the castle - perfect for short game rounds in between.

Super Mario 64 DS is also technically impressive: the 3D graphics have been reworked for the DS and look sharper and more detailed than in the original. The controls can be used either in the classic way with the directional pad or via the touch screen - although some players will need a little getting used to, as there is no real analog stick. Nevertheless, the game works surprisingly well and always remains accessible and entertaining.
