In Pokémon Diamond, your adventure begins in the vast and varied Sinnoh region, a land full of mystical caves, snow-capped mountains and mysterious legends. As a budding Pokémon trainer, you begin Pokémon Diamond by choosing one of three starter Pokémon - Chelast, Panflam or Plinfa - and set out to complete the Pokédex, collect eight medals and challenge the top four of the Pokémon League.

On your journey through Sinnoh in Pokémon Diamond, you will not only encounter countless new Pokémon, but also the shady organization Team Galactic, whose plans go far beyond ordinary scams. Their goal: to control time and space - through the power of the legendary Pokémon Dialga, which plays a central role in the Diamond edition.

A special feature of Pokémon Diamond is the extended day and night function, which is based on the internal clock of your Nintendo DS. This changes the lighting mood, music and even the appearance of certain Pokémon in Pokémon Diamond - making the experience even more vivid.

Thanks to the touchscreen, Pokémon Diamond is enhanced with new functions, such as the Pokétch (Pokémon Watch): a multifunctional watch with integrated apps such as a pedometer, friend tracker and calculator. New features such as the Global Trade Station (GTS) also allow you to trade Pokémon with other players worldwide - without the need for direct friend codes. Battles via Wi-Fi are also possible, making Pokémon Diamond one of the first online-capable games in the series.

Graphically, Pokémon Diamond impresses with its charming 2D style, enriched by subtle 3D effects on buildings, bridges and in battle. Pokémon Diamond's new physical-special system also brings a breath of fresh air to the battle system, as attacks are no longer differentiated by their type, but by their actual effect class - ideal for strategically oriented players.

With over 100 new Pokémon, the ability to transfer Pokémon from Game Boy Advance games via Pal Park, and a variety of side missions, mini-games and secret locations, Pokémon Diamond offers hours of fun for fans of all ages.
