Mario Bros. for the NES (1983) is a classic arcade platform game developed and published by Nintendo. It is the game that puts Mario (then known as "Jumpman") and his brother Luigi at the center and formed an important foundation for the later Super Mario series. It differs somewhat from the later Super Mario games in that it is less of a side-scrolling platformer experience and more of a two-player cooperative game.
