Stuntman

Stuntman is a unique action racing game for the PlayStation 2, developed by Reflections Interactive (the makers of the Driver series) and published by Atari. In this game you don't slip into the role of a classic racing driver, but become a stunt driver in a movie production - with everything that goes with it: breakneck jumps, tight time slots and spectacular action scenes.

As a budding stunt pro, you work your way through various fictional film productions set in very different backdrops - from explosive car chases in Bangkok to wintry action in Switzerland and wild desert explosions. Each set offers new challenges that you have to master with perfect timing and driving skills.

The missions in Stuntman consist of precisely choreographed stunts that you have to perform flawlessly and in real time. Often, one small mistake is enough to ruin the scene - which increases the level of difficulty, but also makes for great excitement. Timing, precision and repetition are the keys to success here.

In addition to the main mode, there is also a stunt editor in which you can design your own course, as well as a free ride mode for practicing. The presentation is particularly successful: after successfully completing scenes, you get the opportunity to watch the "movie version" of your stunt - including editing and special effects.

Graphically, Stuntman is solid by PS2 standards, with detailed environments, a realistic damage model and a wide variety of vehicles.
