SoulCalibur III / JAP

SoulCalibur III is a thrilling 3D fighting game for the PlayStation 2, developed by Namco and the third installment in the popular SoulCalibur series. The game builds on its successful predecessor and, in addition to the usual spectacular weapon action, offers many new features that will delight fans and newcomers alike.

The battles remain the centerpiece: each character engages in intense duels with unique weapons and fighting styles that require a lot of tactics, timing and reaction speed. With a revised combat system and new movements, the gameplay is even more fluid and dynamic.

SoulCalibur III features an impressive roster of over 20 characters, including old favorites like Mitsurugi, Sophitia, Taki and Ivy, as well as some new additions. Of particular note is the extensive Chronicles of the Sword mode, a mix of strategy and role-playing elements in which players take control of armies and lead their favorite characters into tactical battles.

Another highlight is the Create-a-Soul mode, which allows you to customize your own fighter - from appearance and weapons to fighting styles. This allows you to create your own personal hero to send into battle.

Graphically, SoulCalibur III presents itself with detailed character models, impressive arenas and fluid animations that are technically very impressive for the PS2. There is also an atmospheric soundtrack and atmospheric staging.
