Aleste Collection / JAP

The Aleste Collection for Nintendo Switch is a lovingly compiled collection of classic vertical shooters developed by renowned studio M2. As part of the well-known "ShotTriggers" series, it brings together four legendary 8-bit titles from the Aleste series as well as a completely new game - GG Aleste 3 - that was developed exclusively for this collection.

Included in the Aleste Collection are the games Aleste (1988, originally for the Sega Master System), Power Strike II, as well as the two Game Gear classics GG Aleste and GG Aleste II. As a special highlight, fans can look forward to GG Aleste 3, a brand-new installment that impressively demonstrates what would have been possible on the original Game Gear hardware - including impressive boss battles, fast-paced action and detailed pixel graphics.

Thanks to M2's excellent emulation work, all games in the Aleste Collection run smoothly, without slowdowns or sprite flickering. In addition, there are numerous comfort functions: Rewind option, saveable scores, configurable difficulty levels and a special challenge mode with individual missions. Online leaderboards and replays also provide additional replay value.

The Aleste Collection is aimed particularly at retro fans and shoot-'em-up enthusiasts who value authentic gameplay with modern convenience. Menus and extras are only available in Japanese, but as the games themselves contain hardly any text, there is nothing to stop Western players from having fun.
