Banjo-Kazooie is a colorful 3D platformer adventure developed by Rare exclusively for the Nintendo 64 in 1998. Banjo-Kazooie stars the good-natured bear Banjo and his cheeky bird friend Kazooie, who set off together to rescue Banjo's little sister Tooty from the clutches of the evil witch Gruntilda.

Banjo-Kazooie takes players into a lovingly designed, open 3D world, which is divided into several varied worlds - from tropical beaches to eerie graveyards and snow-covered mountains. In each level of Banjo-Kazooie, puzzle pieces (jiggies), notes, honeycombs and other collectibles must be found in order to progress and unlock new areas.

The dynamic duo is particularly highlighted by Kazooie's versatile abilities, which Banjo learns over the course of the game - including flying, running, swimming and powerful attacks. These skills are gradually unlocked and are necessary to solve puzzles or reach hidden areas.
