Super Mario Advance is a classic platform game for the Nintendo Game Boy Advance and marks the start of the popular "Super Mario Advance" series on the handheld. Super Mario Advance is a remastered version of Super Mario Bros. 2 (originally released for the NES) - with improved graphics, new features and additional game content specifically for the GBA platform.

In this colorful adventure, you go as Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach or Toad to the dream world of Subcon to free the land from the evil frog king Wart. Each of the four playable characters in Super Mario Advance has their own abilities: Mario is balanced, Luigi jumps particularly high, Peach can hover in the air for a short time, and Toad is particularly fast and strong at pulling out objects.

Unlike most other Mario games, in Super Mario Advance you don't defeat enemies by jumping on them, but by picking them up and throwing them at others - or by pulling vegetables out of the ground and using them as projectiles. This unique gameplay element gives Super Mario Advance its own unmistakable charm.

Super Mario Advance has been lovingly reworked graphically: The characters are more detailed, the colors more vibrant and the animations smoother than in the original. The music and sound effects of Super Mario Advance have also been modernized and supplemented with new voice samples - for example, you can now hear Mario and his friends speak.

As a special extra, Super Mario Advance also includes a revised version of Mario Bros. Classic, the arcade origin of the series. Super Mario Advance can also be played in multiplayer mode with several GBA consoles via link cable and provides additional retro fun.
