Top Gun: Guts & Glory is a modern jet flight simulator for the Nintendo Game Boy, developed by Distinctive Software and published by Konami in 1993. In Top Gun: Guts & Glory, the player takes the controls of four legendary fighter jets - including the F-14 Tomcat, F-117A Nighthawk, F-16 Fighting Falcon and the MiG-29 Fulcrum - to complete missions in the skies.

In Top Gun: Guts & Glory you can choose between three game modes: Career, Air Combat and Bombing Run. In Top Gun: Guts & Glory, the Career mode offers ten increasingly challenging missions, while Top Gun: Guts & Glory allows shorter missions in Air Combat or Bombing Run mode.

Top Gun: Guts & Glory impresses with a realistic cockpit perspective in which you look through the visor into the sky and analyze your jets in the 3D radar. In Top Gun: Guts & Glory you have various missiles at your disposal - from heat-sensitive to radar-guided - as well as an automatic cannon for aerial combat over the vast ocean.

A central component of Top Gun: Guts & Glory is the password system - progress in career mode is recorded using a password, as there is no memory module in the game.

Despite the ambience, Top Gun: Guts & Glory has its pitfalls. Due to the hardware, the Game Boy limits the number of enemies to two planes at a time. In Top Gun: Guts & Glory, this results in an unusually empty airspace, which clouds the immersion. Criticisms such as "sad graphics, little action" were clearly negative - and Top Gun: Guts & Glory was criticized for its limited controls and bland graphics. In specialist tests, Top Gun: Guts & Glory was also described as a "ratage complet", i.e. a complete failure
