Nazo No Kabe: Block Kuzushi / JAP

CHF 21.00

Nazo no Kabe: Block Kuzushi (jap. 謎の壁 ブロックくずし) is a Breakout-like game released exclusively for the Famicom Disk System in Japan in 1986. Developed by Konami, it was later released for the NES in Europe and Australia under the title Crackout.

In Nazo no Kabe: Block Kuzushi, you pilot the spaceship Red Warrior through the corrupted walls of a gigantic computer system on the planet Selim. The aim is to enter a 14-digit code to prevent the system from self-destructing. Each letter of the code is hidden in the walls and must be uncovered by destroying the blocks. Your only tool in Nazo no Kabe: Block Kuzushi is a superball that is fired from your spaceship. By destroying enemies, power-ups appear that strengthen your ball or give you additional abilities. Particularly noteworthy in Nazo no Kabe: Block Kuzushi are the intermediate bosses that have to be hit multiple times in order to be defeated - an innovative feature that only appeared later in similar games.

Nazo no Kabe: Block Kuzushi offers a challenging and varied gaming experience with a mix of classic breakout gameplay and innovative elements. It remains a fascinating example of Konami's creativity in the early days of video game development.
