In One Piece: Unlimited Cruise SP for Nintendo 3DS, fans of the popular anime and manga series experience an exciting pirate adventure in an open, explorable world. The Straw Hat Gang around Monkey D. Luffy is stranded on four mysterious islands - including tropical beaches, icy landscapes, glowing volcanic regions and arid deserts. Each of these environments has its own challenges, puzzles and powerful enemies to overcome.

In One Piece: Unlimited Cruise SP, you take control of Luffy and eight other crew members such as Zoro, Nami, Sanji and Robin, who you can switch between at any time. Each character has individual skills and special attacks that can be developed over the course of the game. The battles take place in real time and feature iconic moves taken directly from the original - including spectacular ultimate attacks against over 30 powerful bosses.

In addition to the main story, One Piece: Unlimited Cruise SP features the exclusive "Marineford Mode", in which you can replay the dramatic battle between Whitebeard and the navy - a must for every One Piece fan. Also included is a challenging survival mode that will put you and your crew to the test.

The 3DS version of One Piece: Unlimited Cruise SP scores points with its solid graphics, appealing 3D effects and the original Japanese voice output including subtitles in several European languages. However, only Episode 1 is included in the European version - Episode 2 was omitted due to storage space limitations. What's more, some quests are a little drawn out due to a lot of collecting and backtracking, which sometimes slows down the flow of the game.

Despite some minor weaknesses, One Piece: Unlimited Cruise SP is a charming adventure that will be particularly enjoyable for die-hard fans. The mixture of exploration, battles, crafting and One Piece flair makes the title a worthwhile experience on the go - at least for those who don't mind a little more leisurely gameplay.
